Presentation

The Workshop on Distributed Software Development (WDDS) constitutes a discussion forum that gathers researchers, students and practitioners for presenting and discussing problems and solutions related to Distributed Software Development (DSD) techniques, methods, tools, environments and processes. Therefore, WDDS is a workshop about theoretical fundaments and practical experiences of adopting DSD in academic and industrial projects.

State-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice advances are expected for the exchange of contributions, opinions and debates. Thus, WDDS 2010 has the purpose of generating knowledge and exchanging experiences in DSD. In the context of the workshop, DSD spans organizations, countries, time zones and even continents.

In the fourth edition, WDDS is being organized as a co-located event of the 1st Brazilian Conference on Software, which is annually sponsored by the Computer Brazilian Society (SBC) and gathers researchers, students and practitioners from Brazil and abroad, who present and discuss topics related to the state of the art in Software Engineering.

In 2010, WDDS is being organized by Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) and Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and will be held in the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia, Northeast of Brazil.

Hope to see you there!
